| Toast 4 Deluxe writes MP3 files, it doesnt do conversion like you want.
Additionally, the MP3s must be 16 bit, 44100 Hz, Stereo, and not (yet)
VBR. Pretty normal, actually, but if you have something Toast doesnt
like, use SoundApp to convert it to the correct type of AIFF file. |

Im comparing MP3 decoders now.
--------------
Inflate it into your winamp plugin directory, go to the options,
select Nullsofts decoder, uncheck the Layer III box and then go out
and select Shibatchs decoder and check the enable box. Dada! |
| Finally, remember that converting audio to MP3 format LOSES some
information. If you convert the MP3 back to AIFF, ideally it will sound
as good (likely that is very good) but it wont be back to the original.
If you run the AIFF-from-MP3 file back through an MP3 encoder, I doubt
the quality will stay the same. |
| Voor zover ik weet is er geen regel voor het encoden. Het formaat is
gestandaardiseerd, maar hoe je het encodeert speelt geen rol. De ene encoder maakt
betere mp3s dan de andere. |
| I find all kinds of references to MP3 encoders, but I am just getting into
this and am more interested in being able to get MP3s and turn them into
AIFF files. A few answers would be much appreciated: |
